Season Notes |
This is the first year of the All-Star Game held at North Iowa Recreational Center in Mason City. The event is held in conjunction with the United States Hockey League All-Star Game. Each coach selected his team's two best players and the remaining slections were voted on by all coaches. Players were then randomly drafted onto two teams. |
The Varsity tournament is hosted by Ames for the third time. It is the first time Ames hosts the event at the Cyclone Area Community Center. The two previous times the event was held at Hilton Coliseum in 1977 and 1978. |
The Sioux City hockey program returns to the Sioux City Auditorium after four years in the inflatable bubble and metal building in South Sioux City, Nebraksa. |
