SEASON NOTES

The League celebrates its twentieth anniversary season.

Kansas City Jr. Blades join the League and are placed in the West Division while the Des Moines Capitals move to the East.

Metro Ice Sports Facility in Urbandale opens the doors in January of 1996.

Schedule is expanded to 26 games. Teams play opponents in the same division four times and teams in the opposite division twice.

Omaha's newly constructed Moylan Tranquility Iceplex opens its doors in November of 1995.

Omaha Gladiators and Jr. Lancers co-host the Jr. Varsity tournament. The banquet was held at South Sokol Hall. Guest speaker is Rear Admiral Pat Moneymaker. This marks the first time the Jr. Varsity Year-End Tournament was held outside the state of Iowa.

The Des Moines Capitals host the Varsity Year-End Tournament at the Metro Ice Sports Arena, March 8-10. The banquet was held at the Iowa Air National Guard Hangar located at the Des Moines International Airport.
